WITHOUT MUSIC LIFE WOULD BE POINTLESS đ„
For Edwardlive, it all started way back in high school when he would write poetry - he would
write on every subject he could think of. After many years of writing poetry and other narratives,
Edwardliveâs writing skills finally metamorphosed into music, as he would convert his narrative
writings and melodic poetry into rap/hip-hop music. Edward infuses authentic and deep
emotions into his music. In his own words, he fills his music with pain, feelings, and heart.
Edwardlive has a unique sound that is authentic and typical of only him, while also being
surprisingly mainstream and universal. Edwardlive always had a genuine love and deep passion
for music ever since he was a little child growing up.
For Edward, although
childhood wasn't uniquely beautiful, he still had his fair share of the challenging parts of life.
Edwardâs dad passed away when he was still very young and as a result, Edward was
raised by his mom, who, according to him, âwas too brokeâ to send him to music school. As a
result, and also because of his deep passion for music and hunger for success, Edward would
save every penny he had just so he could pay for recording sessions in the studio. He was
forced to drop out of high school just so he could help his poor mother mitigate and alleviate the
pressure of life. However, according to Edward, growing up with a single parent has taught him
how to truly and deeply love and care for people, especially women.
Apart from being raised by a single mom, Edward also grew up seeing most of his friends pass
away as a result of gun violence. Oftentimes, he pays tribute to his late friends and the
incarcerated ones with his music. Edwardâs challenges and lifeâs narrative remains the core
theme of his artistry as he would always use his music to explore themes like single parenting,
quitting high school, kids, dead friends, imprisonment, change, hope, unity, faith, the Lord,
poverty, sadness, visions, and dreams. Also, according to Edward, his name represents the
legacy of his deceased friends whom he believes will forever âlive on.â
Edwardlive built his own music studio from scratch. Aside from music, Edward works as a
full-time carpenter and he currently bases in Florida. He gets inspiration from the music and life
stories of legends like Tupac, Scarface, Nas, Jay-Z, Biggie Smalls, and C-murder. He is
currently working with artists like Music_Vocalking, Tay Edwards, Nikitar_music, David senabre,
kwanzii, Chillzmuzik, Nancie, and Freedom Recordzz. Edwardâs style of hip-hop/rap is truly
narrative in nature and it focuses on life and reality. His recent songs and features can be found
on Instagram, Facebook, Spotify, YouTube, iTunes, and SoundCloud.
